Bone Grafting

Bone grafting is the replacement or augmentation of the bone around the teeth. Stanley Dentistry performs bone grafting in the office to help patients that are missing bone or gum tissue near their teeth. Bone grafting is performed to fix the bone loss caused by periodontal disease, a trauma, or dentures that do not fit.

Gum Grafting

Stanley Dentistry performs gum grafting in our office. Gum grafting is a type of surgical procedure to cover an area of exposed tooth root with grafted oral tissue. This type of procedure helps to prevent further root exposure, decrease or eliminate sensitivity, decrease likelihood of root caries and will improve the general look of the mouth. Stanley Dentistry is a certified periodontist and is able to perform these procedures in the office.

Implant-Supported Dentures

Implant supported dentures are a type of overdenture that is supported and attached to implants. Regular dentures sit on the gums and are not supported by implants.

Implant supported dentures are used when a patient does not have any teeth in their jaw but they have enough bone to support the implants.

They are typically made for the lower jaw. Regular dentures are not as stable in the lower jaw so it is a great place for implant supported dentures.

Partials

Stanley Dentistry offers partials to patients that are only missing some of their teeth. Partials are a good option for patients not wanting a complete set of dentures.

Dentures

Stanley Dentistry offers complete dentures for patients who have no teeth remaining. The teeth are made from prefabricated acrylic. They come in many different shapes, shades and sizes. The dentures are processed into a custom base that is made to fit the gum tissue in your mouth.

Soft-Tissue Dentures

Stanley Dentistry is pleased to offer soft-tissue dentures. These types of dentures are made from soft tissue, not from the implants.

Bone Replacement

Do your teeth look too long? Does it appear that you are missing gum tissue? If the thought of tissue “grafting” seems too severe, we have a wonderful alternative. To build up the gum line or restore gum tissue where it has been lost, we use AlloDerm, a collagen that is applied to our gums and helps to regenerate gum tissue. AlloDerm can be used for a variety of procedures, including soft tissue ridge augmentation and increasing gum depth.

Ridge Augmentation

If you have teeth missing from birth or trauma, ridge augmentation makes dental implant placement possible. Using a collagen, AlloDerm, that builds gum tissue, we can build up the gum so that an implant can be placed.

Frenectomy

Frenectomy is the laser-guided removal of frenulum - a thin band of tissue found under the tongue and attached to the center of the upper and lower lip. The tissue can cause gaps in between your teeth or periodontal recession.
