Dr. Robert Stanley Attended The 5th Annual Thomas P. Hinman Distinguished Lecture
Dr. Robert Stanley of Cary, North Carolina, attended the Fifth Annual Thomas P. Hinman Distinguished Lecture: Diagnostically Driven Interdisciplinary Treatment Planning. This year’s speaker was Dr. John Kois, Director and Founder of the Kois Center in Seattle, WA.
The program illustrated the rationale for a comprehensive treatment approach as a long-term strategy as related to the enhanced well-being of dental patients. Discussion of the appropriate treatment plan and sequence as a unique challenge per individual which can be simplified with the use of a diagnostically driven plan, rather than a menu of treatment options.
Attendees learned a process of systematic treatment planning for each patient within the dental practice. The focus of the process is on the four most diagnostic categories, and develops critical risk parameters minimizing failures and maximizing successful results. The end result is a holistic approach to dentistry which entails more than just the dental health and history of dental patients, but also takes into consideration the overall health and wellness of the patient, including medical history, which has been found to relate to the dental wellness as well.
