Rob Sr. served in the U.S. Army attending Officer Candidate School, Ranger School, and the Jungle Expert Operations School before serving as an Infantry Officer in Vietnam. After leaving the Army, Rob Sr. then enjoyed a successful private sector career in operational management. His specialty was continuous process improvement, which analyzed and then enhanced business operating efficiencies and profitability.Upon retirement, Rob Sr. joined Stanley Dentistry to manage daily business operations and human resources. He is affectionately known around the office as ‘Papa Stan’ to avoid confusion since he shares a name with his son, Dr. Robert Stanley.He and his wife Susan are the proud parents of four and grandparents of ten. They reside in Fuquay Varina and enjoy traveling, family activities, and entertaining friends they have made through their over 50 years of marriage.
