For referring dentists in Cary, Raleigh and the Triangle

Implants placed where your crown needs them.

We won’t take your patients. We treat what you refer, then send them back to you for routine care and hygiene, with a written report at every stage.

What you get back

Your patient, with the implant where your crown needs it.

A written report at every stage.

The system, platform, position and parts to order.

You’re the one who lives with the implant.

The surgeon places it once. You restore it, you clean around it, and you see it every six months for the next twenty years. So when it lands a millimeter off, the problem lands in your chair.

You don’t pour the foundation and then draw the house. You draw the house first. That’s how we plan every case: from your crown backwards, with the surgery, the soft tissue and the restoration planned by one team in one building.

“An implant isn’t a surgical procedure with a prosthetic follow-up. It’s a prosthetic solution with a surgical phase.”

Dr. Robert Stanley

Three ways to send us a patient

1

Plan review

Send the scan and your question. You get a recorded video of how Dr. Rob would plan it: the site, the size, the rules he checks, any concerns, and the options. You decide.

You keep the case, the patient and the decision.

2

We place, you restore

We place the implant from your crown backwards and send the patient back with the system, platform, position and parts to order.

The crown is yours, and so is the patient.

3

The whole case

Full-arch or multidisciplinary care in one building.

Routine care and hygiene return to you afterwards, unless you ask otherwise.

Want to do it yourself next time? Ask about SI Guided surgical guides and training at The Stanley Institute.

What you can count on

Dr. Rob puts these same promises in a signed agreement and hands it to you in person.

  1. ✓Your patient returns to you for routine care and hygiene. We book them for nothing outside the referral unless you ask.
  2. ✓We confirm your referral within one business day and call your patient within two business days.
  3. ✓You get a written report after the consultation, after surgery, and at handoff: images, implant system, platform, position and what to order.
  4. ✓We never criticize previous work in front of your patient.
  5. ✓If we can’t make a case safe, we tell you and your patient, and we say why.
  6. ✓If something we did goes wrong, it’s ours to fix.

The written report

See the plan before anyone picks up a drill.

Every referral comes back with a written report at each stage: images, implant system, platform, position and the parts to order. Here’s what one looks like.

Questions dentists ask us

Something else? Call (919) 460-9665 and say it’s about a referral.

Who restores the implant?

You do, unless you ask us to. We place it from your crown backwards and send your patient back with the system, platform, position and parts to order.

Which implant system do you use?

BioHorizons. Your report lists the exact implant, platform and parts, so ordering is simple.

How quickly will you see my patient?

We confirm your referral within one business day and call your patient within two business days. If it’s urgent, call us and say it’s a referral.

Can you sedate anxious patients?

Yes. Dr. Rob is certified in oral, IV and conscious sedation. We always bring in our own CNA to manage unconscious sedation patients.

How do fees and insurance work?

We’re a fee-for-service practice and don’t take insurance.

Can I just get a second opinion?

Yes. Send the scan and your question for a plan review. You get a recorded video of how Dr. Rob would plan it, and you keep the case.

What if something goes wrong?

If something we did goes wrong, it’s ours to fix. If we can’t make a case safe, we tell you and your patient, and we say why.

Send a patient

Tell us about the patient. We’ll take it from there.

Takes about two minutes. If it’s urgent, call us and say it’s a referral.

The Prestonwood Evenings: dinner and CE in Cary

Thirty seats. One hour of CE. One good dinner.

A series of eight one-hour CE evenings for general dentists at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary. Dinner and drinks, then a course that teaches exactly what its title says, starting with clinical photography, the lab and records, and building to the implant cases that land in your chair. We cap each evening at 30 so there’s time for your questions. You leave with a one-page take-home you can use on Monday morning, and you meet the team you’d be sending patients to.

The Photo That Finishes the Case: Clinical Photography for the General Dentist

30 seats

Your camera is the cheapest feedback loop in the practice. In one hour: the standard photo set, phone or camera and when each is enough, shade photos the lab can actually use, and the settings that make a photo usable as a record. Bring your phone. You leave with a one-page photo protocol for the operatory wall. When the 30 seats are taken, we start a waiting list, and the waiting list hears about the next evening before anyone else.
