We're proud to share that Dr. Bobbi Stanley, owner and dentist at Stanley Dentistry, has been featured in Cary Magazine's Women of Western Wake series — a spotlight on women shaping business and community life in western Wake County.
The feature traces Dr. Bobbi's journey from opening Stanley Dentistry's doors in the early 1990s, fresh out of dental school with one employee and a single leased storefront, to building one of Cary's longest-running dental practices, now a true family operation she runs alongside her husband, Dr. Rob Stanley.
One of the biggest decisions Dr. Bobbi made early on was choosing to run Stanley Dentistry fee-for-service rather than in-network with insurance. As she explains in the article, that choice meant there was no built-in stream of referred patients — just the work of earning trust with every person who walked through the door.
That philosophy still guides how we care for patients today: never cutting corners on quality, technology, or the level of service we provide.
Stanley Dentistry has grown alongside the town it calls home. What started as a single storefront wedged between an ice cream shop and a video rental store has become a multi-doctor practice, now including a new associate, Dr. Bailey Petersen, whom Dr. Bobbi is mentoring with the same care she's brought to every hire over the past three decades.
Looking ahead, Dr. Bobbi shares in the article that airway health in children is becoming a growing focus for her — work inspired in part by her own family's experience, and a cause she's building collaborations around with functional therapists and ENTs.
Dr. Bobbi's full feature — including her thoughts on leadership, building a values-driven team, and what she hopes her legacy will be — is available now in Cary Magazine.
