Drs. Robert & Bobbi Stanley and Dental Assistant Gayle Banic attended the International Congress of Oral Implantology (ICOI) Winter Symposium in New Orleans, Louisiana from February 16 – 18, 2017. The conference was coordinated by Dr. Randall Resnik of Misch International Implant Institute.

Dr. Robert Stanley stated, “This was by far the best ICOI conference we’ve attended. We have the highest regard for Randy’s professionalism and dentistry. We thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Resnik’s presentation and the dynamic speakers he chose for conference presentations throughout the weekend.” Dr. Resnik lectured on avoiding complications with dental implants and has recently published Avoiding Complications in Oral Implantology with the late Carl Misch. His book sold more copies in one day than any other one day book sales in the publisher’s history.

The conference was a rare opportunity to network with leaders in dental implants from around the world. Drs. Stanley were also able to preview technological advancements in dentistry. Dr. Robert Stanley was keenly interested in exploring a stereolithography printer. This device would enable Stanley Dentistry in Cary, NC to create surgical guides for dental implants in a matter of hours. The benefit is that patients with dental trauma would be able to have same day extractions (tooth removal) and place dental implants through guided surgery. Dr. Rob said, “This has been my vision for dental implants for more than a decade and it will come to fruition this year. We couldn’t be more excited.”
