Implant supported dentures offer added support and stability for denture wearers in the Raleigh area. While regular dentures sit directly on the gums, implant supported dentures are a type of overdenture that is supported and attached to dental implants. Because the implants are holding the denture securely in place, you won't have to worry about your denture becoming loose or slipping as you talk and eat.
How does it work?
Implant supported dentures are an overdenture that can be used on both the upper and lower jaw. Implant supported dentures are highly recommended for the lower jaw as regular dentures are not as stable in this area. Stanley Dentistry will work with you to discuss your denture needs and we will help you make the best decision for your lifestyle.
How long will it take?
The implant procedure can be done is just one to two visits to our office in Cary, North Carolina. After this procedure, we will fit your dentures to your implants. If you already have an existing denture, we can place clips on the underside so you do not have to get an entirely new denture made! If you need a new custom denture made, the process typically takes about three to four weeks.
